Frequently Asked Questions
How do you usually work: on a project, hourly, retainer basis?
All of the above, depending on client needs. For brochures and other
pieces that may be developed once a year, we usually operate on a project
basis, billing either hourly or at a flat rate (which is based on an
estimate of the total number of hours required). For ongoing services,
such as public relations and newsletters, we typically set up a retainer
for 3 to 12 months with a certain number of hours budgeted on a monthly
basis.
What are your fees?
Again, each project is unique in terms of its subject matter, scope
and duration. The longer the term, the lower the hourly rate, which
ranges from $60 to $125.
What are your billing policies and payment terms?
New clients may be asked for a down payment(of approximately one
third of the project's estimated total cost) before work begins; upon
submitting a first draft, another third is due, with the final balance
due and payable upon completion of our part of the project. We process
all bills about every 30 days, no matter whether the project is on a
flat, hourly or retainer basis. Payment is due upon receipt. Balances
older than 30 days are assessed a 1.5% monthly interest charge.
How do subcontracting arrangements work?
If you are an agency seeking services on behalf of a client, we
can work directly with your client, or indirectly through you. In either
case, you can rest assured that we will do nothing to harm your client
relationship in any way.
What if I need just a piece of a project done?
No problem. We can complete all or part of a project, filling any
gaps you may be experiencing with your marketing communications staff,
especially during busy times of the year.
Will you work with consultants and vendors my company has chosen
or the creative staff we employ?
Absolutely! We are accustomed to collaborating with all types of
suppliers and creative professionals, either face-to-face or long distance.
